Hello,

I am new to the site, and I have a question about a particular chlorine. It says it is CYA free, and I was wondering if anyone has used it with positive effects. I work for a municipal supply company, and I can purchase a 5lb container for around $16. I looked through the liquid chlorine sticky to try to compare cost against bleach, but I wasn't sure if that type of formula would work for comparison (liquid ounces vs weight ounces) .... Price (ounces x % strength) ....
I have attached a link to the PDF below

It's calcium hypochlorite. If you have low CH you can use it but it will build up calcium in your water. Cal-hypo can also result in temporary water cloudiness.

I’ve using it for over 2 years.. I think it does an awesome job. No effect on my CYA. My calcium hardness is low, but I’m fixing that today.
