Drive Pin Size for Hayward SP0410X Slide Valve?

After having to punch that pin out for the umpteenth time to replace that little o-ring in the bonnet, I've decided I'd like to replace it with a stainless steel cotter pin. Any recommendations for a size to install?
3/32"x3/4", 1/8"x3/4"? I'd like to have the correct size on hand before I tear it apart again.

I'm not finding a good size comparison to convert. @JamesW might know. But i Have to ask ..... have you considered just converting to a multiport so you'll have the waste and recirculate options?

Thanks for the response, Texas Splash. Honestly, I never use that valve. I don't backwash, I break down the filter twice a year and do a complete clean. The only time I touch it is when I notice the little dribble coming from the handle, telling me it's time to change out the $.10 o-ring with a new one.
