Our robot stays in the pool most of the time. The blue electrical cord has gotten very gummy. Is there a way to clean this gunk off? Thinking of coating the cord with a layer of Flex Seal but thought I should get the cord clean first.

You could try the water based goof off. Its a paint remover, but may work. I would clean the cord afterwards with something else before putting it back in the pool. If the robot stays in the pool most of the time it could just be the cord breaking down from chemicals and sunlight, etc. It may or may not clean, you will just have to give it a shot.

We recommend that you remove the cleaner out of the pool daily. Leaving the cleaner in an unbalanced pool will cause premature wear to the cleaner (like the gummy consistency of your blue cable). Please use the following link to our FAQs for information of the proper pool chemistry and maintenance: FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions | Maytronics.

Additionally, we recommend that the cable is replaced, not repaired. Please contact our customer care team at 888-356-7446 for assistance.

Absolutely. There's a cart for that! 😀
