Dolphin 20 Keeps Needing Motor Replacements

Hi,

I've had a Dolphin 20 pool cleaner since April 2017. I'm pretty happy with how it cleans. I have it going once a day, and it gets a lot of the debris that falls in and sinks. However, the last three years, I have had to have motor replaced a local pool shop for about $400 bucks at a time. It's failed again and was last replaced in March of this year. I've replaced the cord twice.

Still cheaper than a new unit but when do I draw the line and buy a whole new unit? I don't want something complicated with an app. I want a cleaner that randomly crawls around the pool and cleans it.

Recommendations?

This is pretty typical. Most of us around here think that getting 3 years out of a robot is about expected.

Probably when the motor AND something else goes out at the same time or close thereby...
