Hi, is the water level low enough for winterizing? I have pillows and live in southern IN/Louisville KY area. Both skimmer and return/Aqualuminator are plugged. Just worried about ice bumping the return (I have no idea how much freezing/ice occurs inside the pool.) But I also have a new liner and don't want to drain toooo much water out.

Don’t forget to pump water off your cover as it rains as that will displace the water in the pool pushing it into the skimmer. I drain just below my skimmer & top jet & try to keep my cover pumped off. I have two jets & it would be impossible to drain below the bottom one so i just plug it from the outside. We generally don’t get long hard freezes here so I don’t have experience with a freezing pool.
