Does anyone’s Nautilus CC struggle going up the walls sometimes?

Sometimes it goes back and fourth trying to scale the same portion of the wall, and sometimes it decides to go full Spiderman and scale a wall and go up on a bench area (see pictured). It was completely on top, but I snapped a photo of it on its way down.
I’m extremely pleased with this the performance and time saved, but I’m curious if there’s anything I could improve.

I have the C3 named Kevin. He climbs walls like a monkey when he’s squeaky clean. I jet spray and clean out everything, filters, impeller, inside walls, check tracks/wheels. If I noticed he’s getting sluggish and not climbing, I know he needs a good deep cleaning. Also, check that your climbing rings aren’t in bad shape and need to be replaced. I need a new pair about every season. They get dry and brittle over storage season. They aren’t too terribly expensive and are super easy to replace. Lastly, does yours have movable arm settings? A Quick Look at your brochure or Google search of your model will show you how the arm is supposed to be positioned for best climb.

Mine does a poor job of cleaning the walls, coping, stairs, and ledges. He only climbs the walls every other pass. and then he may move along the rim of the pool for maybe a yard before diving back to the bottom. I really do not mind this since he does an excellent job on the bottom of the pool where all the debris accumulates. Basically I use my pool brush to hit the ledges and steps before setting my little voracious bottom cleaner off. I am just happy that he does so well.

I may try what RT has done with Kevin. Having owned my robot since 2017, I have done little to no maintenance on him. Maybe if I spoil him like RT does Kevin, I might be able to turn his appetite towards the pool walls as well as the floor.

Thanks! Similar experience here then. It takes me less than 5 minutes to quickly brush debris off the wall + steps towards areas the robot can hit. Glad my robot is working as intended then!
