Does Anyone Have PoolTone Nicheless Small Face Pool Light Experience and Recommendations?

I would like to replace my Pentair Globrite lights with something more reliable. I know the options are very limited and am looking for replacement recommendations. It's my understanding that PoolTone makes a light that *may* work as direct replacement: PoolTone⢠NICHELESS 1 1/2 INCH (SMALL FACE) POOL OR SPA LIGHT 15 - 100 FEET

If you have installed these PoolTone lights as GloBrite replacements, can you please comment on their suitability, reliability, etc? I know they are lower wattage and likely somewhat dimmer as a result. Are they nevertheless reasonable replacements? Are there better alternatives available?

My pool is 10'x50' with 4 lights that shine across the width of the pool.

Thanks for your help & thoughts!

If you have not yet made that purchase, you should be wary. Check out my post below.

Thank you for your reply--I had not seen your post previously. Very depressing to learn there are truly no options other than continuing to pay Pentair for expensive lights with a short lifespan. I guess it's better than dealing with the unfortunate mess you had, though.
