Hi all,

Quick question as the title implies:

Does a Robot Cleaner entirely eliminate the need to brush floor and walls?

Background: I have a IG freeform gunite pool with an A&A infloor cleaning system (IFCS). I've managed keeping my water and pool crystal clear with this set up, however I still understand that the IFCS doesn't scrub the plaster, hence I manually brush the entire pool about 2x per month. I'm getting tired of brushing, so I'm thinking about getting a robot for this chore.

Let me know what you guys think. I do understand the steps and sunshelf will still need sweeping since the robot probably won't go there and I don't mind doing that, if that's all I'll need to do.

Many thanks!

Neil

Neil,

It does for me...

And, if you don't mind... If you do get a robot, I'd be interested in having you run the IFCS, and once it is done, drop in a clean robot and see what, if anything, it picks up.

Thanks,

Jim R.

For sure. I'm definitely expecting it to pick up some stuff on 2 small dead spots that my IFCS doesn't get.

Apparently the S200 is out of stock with Marina so I'm on the wait list. Margaret said it'll most likely be ready by mid-Jan so hopefully soon. Once I do have it, I'll post back here with the results on the test you requested...possibly with some pics.

Appreciate the response.
