Do we really need tiles around the pool when using Primera stone?

Hello, we have a week to decide what color Primera stone we’d like as well as the waterline tile. The coping will be travertine - and we are wondering if waterline tiles are even necessary. We like the clean simple contemporary look so if we can avoid tiles altogether that would be ideal. Would love your feedback on this!

Thank you!

All plaster products should remain below the waterline otherwise it will have a shortened lifespan.

Good luck. I double checked and the warranty for Primera stone is voided if it is placed on structures not fully submerged. Ideally you can find a tile that blends in, if that is the look you are going for.

Everyone stresses about color choices at this stage of the build. Our tile blends in with our pebble and I do wish we would have gone with something that contrasted a bit more, but there is always going to be something to second guess on your own build. Once it all comes together and is filled with water, you will stress less about the individual choices. Good luck with the rest of your build and do not be shy about any questions.
