Okay, what the heck is going on.

I did a SLAM about 4 weeks ago and have been moving along nicely. Let my numbers drift down to around 7-8 ppm FC and all seemed good. We had a bunch of rain, but I was keeping an eye on FC daily and adjusted as necessary. But now I am seeing like a 3 ppm FC drop overnight, no CC.

My theory is that I let the salt get too low to about 3200 ppm and maybe the SWG wasn't producing it's expected output. I added salt to get me to 3600 ppm and will let that settle out over the next couple of days and then add some more to get me to 3800 ppm. My SWG runs during the day, not at night.

My goal is to SLAM this today during the day and hopefully nip this in the bud quick.

Is the SWG not having enough salt available a plausible cause?

Thanks.

The IC will fully generate to about 2800 ppm and then at a reduced level down to 2600 ppm.

If it is raining during normal pump time you could be getting low salinity water pulled in from the top of the pool and your IC is not generating. Doubtful you have gone out and looked at it during that time.

Okay, then I must have an algae problem that popped up again.

No, I do not test during the rain. If I did, I most likely would have dipped down to about 18" below surface anyway.

Now you have given me another experiment!
