Hello we pushed back the auto cover for the first time and there were some wet leaves that got in but we noticed these divots in the plaster that were not there when we closed in November.

What do you guys think? Can they be filled and with what exact filling?

It is plaster spalling caused by ice freezing on the plaster surface.

The winter water level should be kept below any steps or ledges or at least 1 inch above them.

I doubt you will make it look good or match the color.

Hi thank you- We have the pool professionally closed the water level was dropped below the steps. I think with the auto cover, things still get in. UGH! This year we are adding tarps in addition to the auto cover at the opening.
