Divots and channels bottom of inground vinyl pool

I recently had a new liner put in my pool and over days noticed these divots and channels starting to form along the walls of the pool mostly in the deeper portion. The pool guy who put the liner in said this was structurally sound and just a visual issue. Do I need to be concerned? Could the pool collapse or anything like that?

Liner looks beautiful - great choice on color and pattern. Were those issues there with the prior liner? If there were known issues with the pool floor, I am surprised he did not address those with you before the liner went it.

I dont think the issues were there before the new liner went in. He drained the pool, put the new liner in, then we noticed a big indent (new picture attached). So we drained the pool again, he patched that spot with vermiculite, put the liner back and refilled the pool. Since then these divots and channels have been appearing over a few days. Pool guy said we could drain pool again, patch spots again but it could just happen again so he recommends just leaving it. Just wondering if this is normal??
