Ditch the tabs and add stabilizer?

Hi,

I just got my TF-100 and have been doing some tests. My CYA is very low. I'm not able to accurately measure it using the kit. However, a pool store said it was at 5 PPM. Should I add stabilizer or use tabs such as these? From my understanding, if I'm using liquid chlorine, there is no need for tabs at all. If I do use a stabilizer, is there anything I need to look out for?

My readings from this morning:

  • Chlorine: 4 PPM
  • Combined Chlorine: 0.5 PPM
  • pH: 7.3
  • Calcium Hardness: 275 PPM
  • Alkalinity: 120 PPM
Thanks!
