Is changing the discharge hose on the filter something I can do ? Pool guy has it too short and when backwashing it is dumping into neighbors yard instead of down the side of my lot to the street . Why is it duct taped - that s how it was "fixed" last summer - it only drips a bit when back washing

Oh lord yes! Easy to do. Some use standard blue roll backwash hoses, others old firemen's hoses, or like us- PVC from pump to dry creekbed.
