As of 2022, the only reliable source of plain bleach I can find is the 10% pool bleach Walmart/HomeDepot sell. It's also appears to be the cheapest option I can find locally.
I just installed a Stenner pump with the gray UV resistant tank. I live in Texas and it's already in the 90s in May.
If I dilute the 10% bleach down to 5% it about triples the half-life according the charts I've seen.
The only thread/statement I've found so far regarding diluting bleach is this one:
www.troublefreepool.com
Where @JasonLion states that diluting bleach w tap water can "significantly shorten the shelf life".
Is this definitive? And does it shorten the shelf-life more than the Texas heat will storing 5-10 gallons in an outdoor tank in the Summer?
Thanks!

Bleach Dilution Question
So I really did try searching, but too many posts to dig through, so hopefully this is a easy YES :-) I am going to be using Chlorine (bleach) via Stenner Pump for my pool. Since lower concentrations have longer life in sun, can I just buy 12.5% (can get a good deal locally) and dilute it 50%...
