My power board apperently is bad....Wondering if I should just get a new board for $300? Or Get a new softtouch unit for almost double? Im leary it will only last 5 yrs again. I expected my cell to go bad, not the control unit.

You have to assess how much life you think is in the cell. It is impossible predicting what will fail first.
Still cheaper to just buy power supply. Not worried about cell as of now. I would just be buying the supposedly heavier duty soft touch complete power supply unit, or just replace only the power supply mother board in my current digital nano plus. Plus to soft touch is completely new control unit. Just wondering if it really is better... meaning it will last longer. 5 yrs seems awfully short for electronics to fail. I expected the cell to die 1st.
