Hello,
We were opening up our pool bring everything out from winter storage and setting back up. After adding in new sand and putting the top of the filter back on as hubby was about to clamp it back down he moved the top a bit and it came apart from the diffuser bottom (the basket).
Come to find out the plastic piece that has a tiny screw in it that keeps them together broke off with the screw in it.
I attached pictures to show the piece is what looks like a tire air valve sticking out of the basket piece and where it used to be is the circle next to the little hole in the second picture the others are to show how it fits together.
Does anyone know if the the Filter will still work in not screwed together but are fitted tightly in place?

I have the same problem, have you come up with a solution?
