Did AA treatment, do I need to use Polyfill?

Hi all, a few months back when it was cold I did an ascorbic acid treatment and it was very successful in removing iron staining I had which formed from a hurricane dumping red dirt into my pool. During the AA process, I used Jacks magic Purple Stuff as I have a SWG. Now that we are past the pollen season, I cleaned filters a few weeks back and am seeing microscopic floating particles all over the surface of the pool. Too small to effectively take a photo with.

I am not sure if this is another type of pollen falling from mother nature or perhaps the iron that was lifted from the AA treatment. I read about using Polyfill, not sure if that is what I need to do to properly filter out the metal, if that is what this is. I am not sure if using polyfill is a requirment of the AA process.

Pool is 10 months old so I have not been through the full pollen season to know if these microscopic particles are normal for this time of year, but seem too small for my filter to remove. Appreciate any guidance.

All chems are 100% perfect, very blue pool, no staining.

If you did an ascorbic acid trearment and then didn't do a full drain/refill, you will need to continue adding the sequestrant to keep the iron in solution - otherwise the iron will redeposit on the pool surface.

Small particles floating on the pool surface are settling out of the air.

How often will i have to add sequestrant? to keep the iron in solution? I'd rather never drain the pool, don't mind adding sequestrant once in a while.

Do you have the TF-Pro or TF-Pro Salt?

Your chemistry numbers look good.

Using polyfill can only help if the particles are so fine they pass through your filter. Try it for a couple of days.....see what you catch! Report back

Salt results are from drop based test, not the SWG readout, that is usually reporting too high. I have the TF-Pro Salt.
I have not tested fill water lately, I will as you advise polyfill and see if I get anything, the pool has been crystal clear for a long time, and after the AA treatment all spots came up.

Correct I used it after the AA treatment.

sequestrant works in your pool by keeping solids in solution. The contaminants are still there in your pool, you just can't see them.

So if what you are seeing is inorganic, you need to add more sequestrant to make them return to solution but even better may be to capture and remove them with polyfill

Thank you, I suppose no downside to trying polyfill. It could be falling from the sky as we have a terrible pollen season here. No staining on the floor so I imagine the solids are still in solution. Appreciate the help.
