Hi everyone.

I've been slamming for about a week. Prior to slamming I had brought up the CYA from 0 to just under 30. Been bringing FC up to 12 with 10% liquid chlorine. Water is now clear and this morning CC was 0.5, but the overnight FC drop was 2 ppm, so I have more to go.

Due to work I was not able to test until early evening and the FC had dropped to 2 and CC was 1. I decided to check my CYA again and it had dropped to almost 20. Rather than waiting for CYA to dissolve or buying more liquid conditioner, is there any reason why I shouldn't go ahead and add dichlor to raise both CYA and chlorine? According to pool math I could raise CYA by 6.5 and FC by 7.2 with 2 lbs dichlor cheaper than conditioner.
