Hi guys,

We just replastered with Diamond Brite, and I am on Day 3 of my startup.

Current stats (as directed by the startup guide for where I should be on Day 3):
TA: 90
PH: 7.5
CH: 150

The next step today is to raise FC to 1.5-3.0.

I have added 10% Sodium Hypochlorite, but I can't get my FC above 0.5. CC has risen to 2.0.

The startup guide says not to add CA until tomorrow (which I'm not sure I should even to if I can't get my FC up).

There's nothing organic I can see that the CC's would be fighting, and I don't think I'm supposed to SLAM with the new plaster - does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do to address the CC and get the FC up?

Thank you!

CC 2.0 means your water got some algae.

You should not SLAM new plaster.

Keep adding small doses of liquid chlorine to fight the algae and get the FC to rise.
