Hi guys,

I have been able to succesfully able to open/close my salt water pool in previous years and the trick has always been to close late and open early to avoid having to deal with too much algea.

This year, because of stone work happening around the pool, I kept the safety cover on to avoid damage to the liner / pool. Renovation just started, expected to last 3 weeks. The water obviously has already turned into a nice green :) I would like to keep the cover on util the reno is done.

I am wondering if I should try to at least do some partial cleaning. Working with an 18x36 cover is not easy. So the "partial clean" would be just to target the water, without being able to brush the walls and detailed cleaning : just get the water ciruclating, shock shock shock, etc.

Not sure if it will be effective or not but the idea was to keep things in check.
Do you think there would be any value to try to do any of this?

Cheers,

You can completely “open” the pool and keep the cover on. Just have to make sure all the skimmers/returns are opened up and clear.

No matter how bad it is, it won't crack the top 100 we've seen. Maybe not even the top 1000. :ROFLMAO:
