I live in the south and deice in the winter is not normally needed yet alone right now. What are some good brands to order to put in my pool to raise the ch? I have one bag left over(Vaporizer) from my time in Maine but it only has about 10% calcium chloride and 90% sodium chloride. I assume this would not raise ch much with that ratio.

It would raise it by adding 10% of its volume, which isn't much.
I don't like de-icers for calcium. The better ones use salt as an additive lowering your results per bag. The bad ones have iron or other undesirables because they aren't meant for pools. A manufacturer could change its formula from this time to next time and you might not catch it.
Anywho. The folks who like it will be along shortly. I use puritech calcium chloride from Amazon. Price wise it's a happy medium between De-icer and the fancy pool store stuff, but it's (allegedly
) pure.
