stupidly, I added DE tonthe skimmer without the pump running. So when looked up, a cloud was forming in the pools deep end. I ran the filter for 48 hours and ran the robot several times. The water is clear but I still cant get an answer on whether it is ok to swim. The DE never settled on the bottom in a visible amount. The robot basket had a tablespoon of sandy silica in it which seemed kinda sharp and in the filter basket. That made me a little worried about swimming. Thoughts?

Yes, it's safe to swim. DE can be an inhalation hazard when dry as the small particles can get in the lungs, but wet and in the water unless you are drinking a lot of pool water I don't see the issue.
Thanks for the quick response! In theory, the DE should cycle through with the rest of the pool water and end up in the filter, right?
Yes, unless it falls out of suspension in the water and falls to the bottom. Eventualy all of it will be captured by the filter.
