I am guessing this is an AquaPure board problem. Basically I was unable to hook to the iAqualink a few weeks ago. I checked the equipment and a dE error was on the AquaPure panel. Currently the display is blank unless the A and B buttons are pressed. I checked the TFP forum, and this appears to be a rare but documented issue. As suggested, I pressed A+B, and the display cycled up to 60 then 30 then dE. See pics.

I checked my salt cell connections and the 3 pins appear to be good -- I had the salt cell replaced about 3-4 years ago, and included pic of SN. I examined the AquaPure board and display, and there are no obvious damaged/burned connections. I pulled the ribbon connectors and re-seated. Still no joy.

There is a continuous 1/sec beep that appears to be coming from the sounder on the AquaPure board. When I pressed A+B and it went into "dE", the frequency dropped to about 1 beep every 3-4 secs.

Thankfully, the RS One Touch LCD controller works correctly, and the pool is running as programmed. However, my iAqualink will hook up but then quickly drop the connection, so I can't control it from there.

Currently the pool water temp is about 47 degrees, so it is my understanding that the SWG is not active. Therefore I don't think I can go through the usual troubleshooting steps re voltage checks, etc?

Any advice would be appreciated.

The dE code is not listed in Jandy AquaPure Troubleshooting

The best explanation I can find is at...

I would call Jandy and see what they will do for you under warranty. You have a fairly recent system with rev T.2G

Appreciate hearing what you learn.

Thank you, good suggestion. I’ll do that and point them to this thread.

And the meantime, any other thoughts would be appreciated.

So after reading through the referenced links and doing a little bit more digging, I went ahead and got a new aqua pure controller board from Sunplay, for around $209. Just got finished replacing it. That seems to take care of the issue completely. My only hiccup was that the RS8 LCD controller did not come on … I removed and pushed in the serial connector a little harder for a good connection, and that took care of the issue.

Thanks everyone for the advice and it looks like we’re back in business.

James W,

I just saw these posts after making my post regarding the board replacement.

I appreciate your extra advice. In what circumstance would one need to use this procedure? Is that to test the actual front board with the LCD panel and the A/B buttons, salinity, etc.?
