Cyanuric Acid Test Help - Still no reading ???

I am not getting a CYA reading using the Taylor K-2006 test kit. I have floated 2 pounds of CYA (stabilizer) 2 days ago. I am not losing chlorine like previously (before the stabilizer). But am not getting a reading for CYA.

FC= 4ppm
cc= 0
PH= 7.3
TA= 120
CYA= 0

2lbs of stabilizer in 8,400 gallons of pool water is 28.5ppm which would be below the minimum detectable level of 30ppm. Some kits can read down to 20ppm but they are not very accurate down that low. Your water probably has a CYA level just below 30ppm but you can’t see it.

Given where you live you can easily go up to 40 or 50ppm CYA with no issues. That would also make the CYA test easier to perform.
