CYA sock hack?

Doing the CYA sock in outflow stream by hanging off a clamped broomstick. Question....anyone have success with putting the sock in a chlorine floater (without the chlorine obviously)?
I'm guessing it may take longer...but other than that...seems like a solid idea.

You don't get the same scouring effect with the water floating past so it will probably take longer to dissolve. But it's been done. sort of.

WOW! That looks like something from "War of the Worlds"! LOL! BTW - that's one heck of a sock!

You want it to dissolve really quickly, place in knee high nylon and tie in front of return. 10-15 min max. I do this with borax, baking soda as well as stabilizer.
