CYA right into the skimmer

I was asleep at the wheel and dumped my stabilizer right into my skimmer basket - no sock - so I imagine I screwed something up -
My heater? (It wasn't on but it's plumbed) or my SWG?
Waiting to see what happens. It's been 2 days. I have kept the pump running 24/7 for about 5 days now.

Getting a sock so I don't screw up next time.

Anyone else ever screw up something this royally? Feeling very ridiculous right now.

You didn't screw up, people are told to do that all the time...heck, it's written on most of the bottles. It basically went into your sand filter and is sitting on top of the sand bed slowly dissolving. Best thing to do is it give a week before you try to measure the CYA again. Do not backwash or else you'll simply blow it all out the waste line.

It's not going to damage anything...
