CYA QUESTION

Hello! I live in the Northeast where we’ve been experiencing recording breaking rainfall this summer. When I opened my pool in May, I had to add stabilizer to bring my CYA from 0 to 40. Well, I’m back down to below 30 because I’m not getting a reading on my Taylor Test (I use the k2006C kit). My pool is scheduled to be closed on Sept 21st. My question is, should I bother increasing CYA now? Is CYA helpful in the winter? Thanks in advance!

Yes, be sure to have at least a CYA of 30. Even if you hit 40 it's not bad because some of it will lower over the winter, and you don't want the CYA falling to zero over that closed period.
