Second summer with the AG pool, and I'm bringing my CYA back up after winter re-filling. I'm following the recommended additions in Pool Math to increase my levels by 20, and my result is only an increase of 10. Does CYA lose its potency over time?

CYA testing is accurate to +/- 10 ppm at best.
Just add another 10 to 20 PPM of CYA until you see the CYA test result you expect.

How long after adding did you test. It can take up to 5 days to fully register. Usually registers after 24-48 hours.
Thanks both, glad to hear on potency. I tested 24 hours after and again a week later, both with the same result. I recognize it is somewhat subjective of a reading, so will hit it again and see what it brings next week.
