We purchased a house with a pool! Congrats to us!
Ok, really this is our 2nd summer but first that we will care for it ourselves.
Up to this point we have had a service taking care of it for us. I purchased a ColorQ and began testing last week. CYA continue to read "HI" so my research and discovery of this forum began.
I drained at least half the pool, 14k gallon, and filled back up. We were out of town the next few days so the pool has sat untouched until today. I ordered a K-2006c test kit which I started with Testing CYA! It's still over 100ppm.
Unfortunately we are getting pounded on by rain right now so it is the only test I was able to get in before the rain began. I plan on testing in the morning.
I suspect I am back to draining again but perhaps even more this time.
