Hey all! First post and look forward to your advice and experience.

The pool is 2 years old and on a hill. The cracks you see are on the downslope and unpaved part of the pool wall. You can see bunch of cracks and signs of seeping and then slimy growth of some kind.

Anyone know if these are normal cracks in gunite and should it be seeping like this? Thanks in advance.

Have you contacted your pool builder with it only being 2 years old? How much water are you losing per day/week and are there any visible cracks on the inside of the pool walls? I don't have a ton of experience but I have never seen a gunite pool build this way with so much exposed above ground. If you are not losing water from the pool, you may just want to paint the outside with a water sealed epoxy or something.

Hopefully this reply will get you back to the top and an expert can get eyes on it. I would call the builder to see what they say. Should be warranty. It would appear those cracks are in the stucco type mix that was applied to the gunite surface to give it a better appearance. I would be concerned about the water seeping through. My pool on one side is out of the ground too. A builder told me they are prone to having water seep through. I have no idea how true that is. To combat this potential issue, I sprayed the interior with a hydro barrier product on the inside and exposed exteriors of the pool before any finishing work was done. Forget the name of the product but apparently it is used by roof top pool builders. It is supposed to block hydro-static pressure up to 20 PSI. Once the seeping is fixed, so will the slimy growth.
