Cover protector for a rolled up Solar Cover?

Hello TFP members,

Purchased a new 12mil 16 x 34 solar cover this year. When it is rolled up during the day ... what is the suggested covering to protect and prolong the cover's life? White, Gray or Blue plastic that usually comes with the cover?

I have always used a solid light color plastic cover. Presently, it's a light blue one that came with a prior solar cover. Basically anything that keeps the sun from beating directly on the solar cover.
