Hello,

I got the following motor for my hot tub which recently failed after a power outage in our area. Not sure how old it is?

I am looking to purchase a replacement pump, but just not 100% which is the correct one that would be compatible/easiest to replace with. I added the Part # into google and the suggested replacement was this...
Magnetek Century 1.0 HP Square Flange 56Y Up Rate Motor - B2853 - INYOPools.com. It looks similar enough, but since this isn't something I've done, I wonder if anyone can offer some insight if this should work ok.

Dating a Century Motor

The following table allows a date of manufacture to be determined for any Century motor manufactured between 1938 and 2010.
The Serial Number as stamped on the data plate will consist of one or two letters followed by one or two digits.

The letter(s)s can be looked up in the table below.

The digits indicate the month: 1=January, 2=February, etc.
