I recently took a leap of faith and decided to cut out the included 1.25" small hose Intex inlets and outlets and convert them to 1.5". I followed along with multiple YouTube videos and to be honest, I executed it as well as humanly possible. It all looks good the new inlets and outlets work exactly as I expected. That being said, there are some minor leaks and I had to tighten the connection WAYYY more than I would have expected to get the leaks to stop at all. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could reduce leaks on the seals? The gaskets are in the right place and it does work, just want to reduce as many leaks as possible.

Are u using standard intex type 1.5” hoses & fittings/jets or Hayward type regular above ground pool 1.5” jets & hoses?
