Considering adding three way valve to drain down pool

I ran out of time, I did as much checking as I could without taking apart the pump, and nothing seems to be in there. Have to push closing my pool to this weekend now. Then I plan on completely removing the pump and I can properly diagnose what happened.

Pulled the pump this weekend to fix it it. Diffuser and Impeller and Impeller ring need to be replaced. It was the impeller ring I found below the pump basket.
Where is the best place to order said parts?

It looks like the diffuser was not installed correctly. Were the diffuser screws in place?
It was, I hung it there like that to hold it so you could see the crack in it. All parts ordered!
