We recently just had a Latham fiberglass pool installed the last few weeks. When the concrete crew was pouring the coping, they were pretty sloppy and left a generous amount of concrete to cure on the floor of our pool. I hadnt noticed it because it was covered with a bunch of construction debris. we had our pool cleaned out and opened up by the pool company, but this stain was left behind. I think it is just cured concrete and probably needs more thorough scrubbing but perhaps a chemical cleaner will help this process along. Any experience on this forum with such a problem?IMG_3099.jpegIMG_3099.jpeg

Welcome to TFP! Yeah, the concrete guys left all kinds of streaks down the sides of ours. You can experiment with easiest to more aggressive like: Magic Eraser, Kitchen scrub pad, 1,000 grit wet/dry sandpaper, 800 grit, etc. You can go with a stronger grit sandpaper, but no lower than 400 and be mindful it may leave very fine hairline sand marks. You probably won't see them underwater anyway, just be aware.

Thanks for reply. Using abrasives won’t damage the fiberglass? The pool guy said they would try a chemical first but having trouble getting any more detail than that.

The items I noted above were recommend by my installer and I've used all methods over the years for one thing or another. But do what feels comfortable for you.
