Hi all,

Water temperature is currently 62 degrees. Chlorinator gives really low Salt reading, 1700. I read about the effects of cold water on Salt readings with chlorinators. I have some salt test strips so I decided to try that. Gave the exact same reading.

So, at 62 degrees is the test accurate and I can go ahead and add salt? Or are they both wrong?
I'm not looking to order another product. Just deciding for right now whether to add Salt or go liquid for the moment.

And if both wrong, when can I trust the reading?

Normally I just warm the water with my heater, but it is currently out of action.
Thanks in advance.

You really need the k-1766 Taylor salt test kit. I would not trust the strips at all. Your swg needs to be satisfied anyway so you could go by its reading. Less is more though.
