Coating options for exposed aggregate patio

Has anyone updated their exposed aggregate patio, diy or hired out? Sundek does a topping, waiting on an estimate from them. Cool deck seems to be geared towards smooth concrete.

Not sure if the bumpy aggregate finish will need to be ground down or filled in with a concrete topping.

i would be interested in hearing about your sundek experience - i have posted on various threads about this....i have 850 sq ft 22 yo concrete basically in good shape but worn looking with a few hairline cracks - cantilevered coping so they have to do the bullnose up to the tile line.
they just gave me an estimate of $ 6400.

My experience with them so far has been having a sales guy come out on Monday, and waiting to hear back from them 4 days later.
