Cloudy Water and Balance Issues - New Pool Owner

During the SLAM, you can ignore everything but FC & CC. Your pH reading is doubtful when FC is above 10.

Seriously -- everything but algae can be fixed in a matter of hours when the SLAM is through.

If you're in the SLAM - Shock Level and Maintain - you need to keep FC above 16, even if it means testing and replenishing every hour. The more consistent you are about it, the faster it will clear. Here's an unsolicited testimonial that was just posted a few minutes ago: http://www.troublefreepool.com/thre...er-off-to-swimming-in-36-hours!-Hang-in-there!!

There are two ways to do the CH test. When using a 25 ml water sample, each drop is 10 ppm of CH. When using a 10 ml water sample, each drop is 25 ppm of CH.

Yes I was using the 25ml sample. So with the 5 drops I got 50. Thanks.

OK will do thanks for the feedback. Concentrating on keeping that FC above 16. The pic in the "Encouragement" post is my goal!!!
