Cloudy return water

After backwashing and rinsing, I notice cloudy water coming from the returns and then slowly clears. Problem is it clouds otherwise sparkling clear water.
It's a sand filter and medium was changed last season. Your diagnosis?

First question could be are you rinsing long enough? Once the water goes clear at teh hose or sight glass give it an additional 20-30 seconds. If you are doing that already, chemistry would a concern. Post a full set of water test results and we'll go from there.
