Cloudy pool after ascorbic treatment

I did an ascorbic acid treatment over a week ago. I added liquid chlorine to the pool a day after I dosed with ascorbic and added sequestering agent. The pool remained clear after I added the chlorine. I was dosing chlorine in 1 ppm increments. Well yesterday I added 2 ppm chlorine to pool and it became cloudy and has been cloudy since. I have been told that after treating with ascorbic acid when adding liquid chlorine the pool is expected to go cloudy but would clear up when the chlorine eats up at the ascorbic acid. It was just strange that it took a week before the pool became cloudy. I have a swim party at our house next weekend so I am a bit concerned about the pool clearing up by then. Does anyone have any input on how long a pool remains cloudy or recommendations on how to clear the water up by weeks end? Thank for the input!

Just tested again and got
Fc 0.5
Cc 1.5
Ph 7.3
Ta 70
Ch 240
Cya <30
Before testing I dosed twice with liquid chlorine (each was a 2 ppm dose) an hour between doses and 1 hour before testing.
I realize I have a run away with CC (first ever). I have held off from adding more sequestering agent as I know that will get burned up by the chlorine if I slam.
Should I slam? Will SLAM compromise my ascorbic acid treatment progress?
OR Will an algaecide be effective instead of a slam to maintain my ascorbic acid treatment progress?

Did ascorbic acid treatment about 2 weeks ago the more I think about timeline.

I am concerned not only about the FC loss but the increased CC level. By now the transition should've been done. I think it's time to slowly increase the FC throughout the remainder of today until you get it to about 5ppm, then keep it there until bedtime before running an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test this evening. With the sun out of the equation, that should help determine what to do next.

Thanks for the insight. I kinda got freaked out and dosed it up to 10. I’ll scrub it and vacuum and test when dark and test/adjust in the am. Figure I need to get it under control ASAP. I got a swim party for my kid next weekend so I need to be aggressive.
