Closing hot tub for the summer

Hello,
I tried a search but nothing came up but there may be a thread already posted.
I didn't use my hot tub at all last summer, so I decided rather than waste hydro to keep it warm, I will close it for this summer. I used a jet cleaner then drained the tub and cleaned it. Is there anything else I need to do? It's warm enough now to not go below freezing until I re-open it in the fall, so I'm not concerned about water freezing in the lines. Just wondering if I need to plug the jet openings with something, or if just leaving the cover on the hot tub will be good enough to keep it debris-free until fall?

I assume this is a stand alone spa. I drain mine in the summer, remove and store the filter and have done so for years without any issues. I use a good surfactant cleaner and raise the FC during the purge then drain. I also remove all the water from my plumbing that does not exit the spa during a quick drain. I loosen the lower pump union to drain the pump and I also have another clear hose in there that I disconnect and drain. I wipe out the tub interior and let it dry completely then install and secure the cover. In the fall I wipe out the interior, open the service cover, inspect the pump and fittings then fill it and fire it up for the winter.
My experience only not necessarily a recommendation.

We don't use our standalone tub in summer. I lower the temp to the lowest setting, either 80f or 85f, which it maintains without ever heating, or rarely. Leave the cover on. Add bleach about once a month up to shock level for the CYA, FC/CYA Levels. We try to keep CYA at 30-40 mostly.
