I was going to close my pool last week, so I added a bottle of polyquat 60-didn’t slam, but raised chlorine a little higher than target (8ppm), and then couldn’t finish the closing process due to life. Now I have the pool co coming to blow out my pipes and install my cover on Wednesday. I will drain on Tuesday night-I am wondering if, in the meantime, I should do anything about my levels or if I’m good regardless of the fact that the cover is not on? I am still running my pump 4-6 hours a day and I am runnmy vacuum every other day to get all the debris out. I am in MN, its cool. Here are the facts:
Water temp: 58-60
FC: 0
PH:7.8
ALK: 80

Along with 88's concerns about the FC, consider lowering the pH a bit, especially if you use a solid cover. Here's our closing page if it helps.
