My filter bag is cleaned with vigorous rubbing under running water after each cleaning but it’s not seeming to get as clean. Robot doesn’t climb the walls anymore, which supposedly is due to less flow through the bag. I’ve bought replacement bags, but they are not the same as OEM.
Better way to clean? Why no detergent? Why cold water? My scientific mind would like to know. Thanks.

Which Aqubot is it?
I had a Aquabot pool rover at one time, I do have a above ground and it never tried to climb the wall, try running without the bags and see if there is a diiference.
If no change than most likely motor is on its end or something is intertwined with the armature rod to the squirrel cages. . Not sure about why no detergent when cleaning.
I always cleaned the bags with cold water after it ran and still after 2 season's the bags lost elasticity around the top. Gave up on pool rover 2 years ago. I have had one bag somehow find a way to feed itself past the plastic grate cover and jam the motor but you would obviously see that due to Rover stop moving
