Hi all and I hope everyone is full swing on their pool season!
I converted to SWCG end of May last year and had it running all winter, at 1000RPMs, except 2 times when I have it at 2500 for 1hr each.
Up until about 2 weeks ago I noticed the no flow light would come on when flow paddle is full deflected. The air level would descend from the top and I guess gets to a level where it triggers the warning. I had it tilted last season about 10-15 degrees to cover other side of housing and that helped until now.
Circupool asked about air leaks and o-ring condition and it looked good, but must be the problem since I can see the air level descending alongside the housing. first pics are how it starts and with in a couple minutes its almost down to the white paddle (pic3). I turned up to 1100 to see where the lowest mark would be (as I don't see any air level when it's about 2000). Sometimes I can watch it got form green to red to green again in less than a minute.
Guess first thing would be to just put it a new o-ring but wanted to see if anyone else has/had similar issues.

Thanks

Maybe I'm not seeing in clearly on my end, but are you sure what you are seeing in the cell isn't just chlorine or hydrogen gas? Since the cell is on the pressure side, it should not be able to pull air "in" unless the system was off. While running there would be a drop if anything.

Is your pump pot completely full of water with no air?

Pump is good, just a little silver dollar size air bubble under lid. I was thinking some of the gas gets stirred around and collects at top portion... so that would be a design flaw anyways. But I've had it running for over a year now, and just started having this issue a couple weeks ago.
You would think if there is a leak on pressure side you would see water dripping out, not air sucked in. So I'm at a loss. I removed the air and running system w/o SWCG on and see what happens. If it doesn't collect, then I don't know what to do. I could run pump at 2000 RPM but that would defeat the purpose of VSP and running at lower speeds.

the blue line is below the area that fills up with air. I think the red line would be residual gas. but again, why is it starting now?

Quick update. There is no air line I can see when SCWG is turned off and flow is still going. weird thing is, when I occlude the return eyelet thing, and alternate putting fingers on and off, the air level builds up like in previous pictures.

You might be surprised, but not always. In fact, a couple weeks ago I a replaced the handle O-ring on my pressure side 3-way valve. It was letting air in but there was no outside water leak.
