Encouraged by @JoyfulNoise and @proavia 's suggestions to consider a SWG in a post last month, I've been spending quite a bit of time learning about salt water chlorine generators. I have a few questions that I've not been able to find an answer to yet. Seems the more I learn the more there is to learn
At this point I'm more likely than not to make the switch.
My pool was installed with a Hayward OmniPL automation system.
Questions
My pool was installed with a Hayward OmniPL automation system.
Questions
- Are only Hayward cells compatible? The OmniPL installation manual pg 63 seems to suggest the warranty is voided if not Hayward.
- If only Hayward chlorinators are an option, which series is best/lasts-the-longest/most recommended? T-Cell-3, TCell9xx or TCellS3xx. Here's a list I found of compatible models. I'm having a difficult time finding literature that describes how they differ.
- It seems at least some of these models are only sold in person. I like my pool builder so I could buy it through them, but am open to other options. Any recommended store that sells them?
- Given a 15k gallon pool in the Phoenix area, is the biggest Hayward cell of 40k about the right size? The step down is 25k and that seems to be less than ideal.
