Chlorine test Taylor K1000 or DPD

Good afternoon all,
I’ve always tested my chlorine with the DPD TEST VS the K1000 test is it based on one’s personal preference or should I be testing my chlorine with the K1000? I only use that kit to test my PH.

I’ve always tested my chlorine with the DPD TEST VS the K1000 test is it based on one’s personal preference or should I be testing my chlorine with the K1000? I only use that kit to test my PH.

K-1000 is OTO. It’s not an accurate measure of TC more of an indication that chlorine is present. Good for spot/sanity checking to make sure your chlorine isn’t zero. But if you want a real number, stick to DPD.
