I had a similar question and thank you for the response Jim!
My test results were:
Tested FC with previously owned Taylor K-1004 test kit and got FC=1.
Tested FC with TF-100, included K-1000 test kit and got FC=6.
Then FAS-DPD test in TF-100 and got 2.5.
Thank you for your guidance.
FC-2.5
CC-0
pH-7.7
TA-80
CH-300
CYA-45

So Perry, overall numbers look good. If your water is crystal clear, your FC should ideally be between 6-8 and never below 4. You'll want to increase with regular bleach/liquid chlorine - same thing. See FC/CYA Levels.

Now if your water is anything less than crystal clear or you see anything green or cloudy, let us know.

Thank you for your response, Pat.
I have been adding between 32-40 oz 10% Chlorine, as well as, 32 oz of 14.5% Muriatic Acid every day for the past week. My water is pretty clear but I do see a tinge of green. Those amounts are what Pool Math is telling me to add to achieve my target FC of 6 and pH of 7.6. My pebble tech surface is already somewhat dark, compared to a plaster surface, but that might be what is obscuring my perception of the "green" I'm seeing. I brush the surface twice a week, and probably should add another "sweep" session.

32 ounces of 10% yields about 2.5 ppm of FC in your 10K pool, so that's great. :goodjob: No excessive FC use in 24 hrs. Perhaps the green you mention is indeed an illusion from the pebble. If later you have suspicions about it, you can always do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to ensure there is no unusual FC consumption. For now .... enjoy! :SWIM:
