So new to this pool and house, finding out no much sun hits the pool after October. My FC shot up, I turned the salt cell off but it’s been stuck at 12 ppm for like 5 days. Suggestions for lowering it? Just not sure I should be running 12ppm until ?

Are you using the testing block or the FAS/DPD powder? Are you sure your cell is off? Do you use any pucks or have you added any LC? It's cold and with little sun you will see chlorine linger much longer than in summer. There's nothing wrong with 12 ppm and it must be liking your CYA level.
Testing with FAS/DPF, No pucks, yes, the cell is off, okay I will just let it naturally drop. Pool temp 59 now, like 55 in the morning, pool season is over!
