Hello to all,
Trying to ascertain what uses up CL/Bleach the fastest, or what comb of conditions?
Our nbors have a lot of mexican fan palms and they are dropping these tiny flowers by the 1000's. I am using hairnets so almost 100% of the debris is in the skimmer. Does this type of debris degrade the CL much faster? Since summer is here, I know the UV takes it toll to a much > degree than cloudy cooler days. It's just that I added 12.5% bleach, then my wife did too. When I went to test CL pH the color was a reddish orange, so it was off the charts. Didn't add anymore that day and all the next day, then tested CL and was barely 4ppm. I just thought the stronger reading from the day would last a lot longer. My CYA is about 50-55, pH was 7.7-7.8...temps 82-87...
Thank you and pls let me know if you have any questions.
